progress starts with awareness
Phase2Phase guides startups from chaos to structure, without slowing down growth!
Startups rarely fail due to a lack of scientific expertise in product and technology development. They stagnate when the organization can no longer support growth. What starts with speed and focus gradually turns into friction:
- Decision-making slows down
- Teams wait for direction
- The founder gets entangled in operations
- Output falls short of ambition
- Not due to a lack of talent, but due to a lack of structure that scales with growth
Phase2Phase is an operational partner for (biotech) startups. We help organizations move from a founder bottleneck to an autonomous team. Our role is relatively simple: we bring calm, focus, and structure to organizations that are on the verge of scaling.
Strategic scaling in 6-8 weeks for (biotech) founders.
We work with (biotech) startups (5–20 FTE) that are ready to enter their next phase, without compromising research speed.
A 6-8 week, hands-on trajectory for structural acceleration. During this process, we redesign from within how the organization operates.
We:
- Translate strategy into execution
- Define clear responsibilities and mandate
- Eliminate delays in decision-making
- Transform meetings into effective steering moments
- Create space for the founder without losing control
No frameworks for the sake of frameworks. No reports that end up in a drawer.
What changes in 6-8 weeks:
- The founder shifts from operations to leadership
- Strategy is translated into clear priorities
- Roles and ownership are clear and unambiguous
- Decision-making becomes fast and consistent
- The team operates independently and purposefully
The organization is no longer dependent on the founder, but becomes capable of delivering independently, consistently, and at a high level.

Spirited Leadership
Co-founders around the Campfire
For co-founders who want to realign their vision. Are you still on the same page? Are your areas of expertise still complementary? How do you build a long-term relationship? Are you still the best possible partners, or is something missing?
Vision
This frequently results in delays, inefficient use of resources, and missed milestones.
Phase2Phase helps startups make clear strategic choices: what comes next?
We challenge the mission and strategy and identify where things can be done smarter, more efficiently, and with the right people. What stage is the company in? Do current roles and responsibilities still fit this phase? And who should be involved in which decisions?
Commercial growth is not only about developing products or technology, but also about building strong people and teams. Up to around ten employees, this is often manageable; beyond that point, bottlenecks quickly emerge. Employees may feel less seen and heard, engagement declines, and the risk of turnover increases.
How do you ensure that the mission and strategy are widely embraced across the organization? How do you align responsibilities on the work floor with that mission, so people remain motivated and take ownership?
At this point, it becomes essential to clearly define values and principles and translate them throughout the organization. This creates engaged people, sustainable growth, and a future-proof company.

Jolande (initiator)
For 20+ years as an interim manager, I’ve worked with a wide range of life science and biotech companies around the world. Throughout these experiences, I’ve observed many recurring challenges as well as common factors behind successful teams and programs.
More recently, I’ve shifted my focus to organizations across various industries. Because I’m often brought in to support underperforming teams or struggling programs, I’ve developed a strong ability to quickly identify organizational pain points and offer creative, hands-on solutions.
With a background in acupuncture and operational management I’m trained to look at both people and organizations in a holistic way, with the goal of restoring balance.
I’m a creative thinker, an enthusiastic leader, and a natural motivator. It’s my passion to help other leaders boost productivity, bring back a sense of joy, and discover a more spirited way of leading their organization.
